Biography
Jenni has served in local government in Fort Lauderdale for the past 22 years with a unique public/private collaborative spirit that results in positive city growth and enhanced community connections. As the president and CEO of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority for the past six years, she has focused on improving the public spaces that are truly the soul of a city—its streets, sidewalks, parks, and civic buildings—while encouraging private sector real estate development and investment.
Jenni earned her degree in environmental design and urban planning from the University of Colorado at Boulder as a first-generation college student. She serves on the national Public-Private Partnerships Product Council for the Urban Land Institute and has served on the board of directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce since 2015.
Jenni and her husband, Jose, met at a Miami Dolphins football game in 1999 and are raising two teenage sons.
