Biography
Duc was born in Montreal, Canada of Haitian parents. At the age of seven, he moved to South Florida, speaking only French and Haitian Creole. An educator for the past 23 years, he began his career in 2001 in inner-city Philadelphia. There he began to develop a passion for children and welcomed the challenge of making a difference. He later moved back to Florida, where he continued teaching mathematics and eventually served as middle school assistant principal, elementary school principal and principal coach.
Duc graduated with a bachelor’s in communication from Villanova University where he excelled as a student-athlete. He earned a master's in multicultural education from Eastern University and his Ph.D. from FAU in educational leadership. Since 2017, he has taught graduate-level leadership courses as an adjunct professor at FAU.
He and his wife, Channale, share four sons. He also enjoys watching sporting events during his spare time.
