2024 Giving Challenge

Leadership Florida only hosts ONE fundraiser per year: the annual Giving Challenge.

We depend on financial gifts both large and small to keep our programs thriving, and our Giving Challenge is a great way for you to help secure the future of our organization!

This 24-hour online fundraising challenge begins at noon (EDT) on April 9 and ends at noon on April 10. This year’s Giving Challenge is hosted in conjunction with the Community Foundation of Sarasota and The Patterson Foundation. 

As we celebrate 42 years of Leadership Florida, a gift of at least $42 will help ensure that others can experience all that Leadership Florida has to offer for years to come. And thanks to Comcast, we'll receive a company match of up to $15,000! Additionally, the Patterson Foundation will strengthen giving during the 2024 Giving Challenge with a 1:1 match on all unique donations between $25 and $100 per unique donor, so every donation helps!

To give you an idea of what the competition will look like, here are the stats for last year's winners:

  • Highest Amount Raised: Gulfstream Region - $9,145
  • Highest % of Goal Met: Southeast Region - $6,827
  • Cornerstone Class Winner: Cornerstone Class 39 (#panDEUXmonium) - $7,362
  • Connect Class Winner: Connect Class 11 (#Longhaulers) - $2,122
  • Education Class Winner: Education Class 6 (#ClasSix) - $1,083
  • Executive Class Winner: Executive Class 12 - $723

Not only does your donation help our organization thrive, but it's also a great way to honor the memory of someone special in your life. Consider a gift in someone's name, or see if your company participates in gift matching to maximize your impact.

Bring it on!  As always, we will have some friendly competition. The Leadership Florida Giving Cup will feature the name of the Leadership Florida Class with the most donations AND the Region with the most donations. This is your chance to prove you have the BEST Class!  The Leadership Florida Giving Cup will be awarded at the Annual Meeting in June at The Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor.
