Biography
Vanessa is the daughter of Haitian immigrants. In spite of his disabilities, it was her brother who taught her how to read. Growing up, she was taught that her time and talents were to be shared with others. Her passion for service led to her being elected as the City of North Miami’s elected city clerk.
While in office, Vanessa has worked to increase civic engagement amongst North Miami residents through various initiatives, including voting campaigns and the Madam Clerk Project, a civic education initiative targeting children. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts, a master’s in public administration and a Juris Doctor.
While also a practicing attorney, Vanessa is the CEO of a successful public relations and marketing firm that specializes in connecting brands to the Haitian market. Vanessa is passionate about advocating for marginalized communities and dedicated to the promotion of culture and creativity. When she is not working, Vanessa enjoys traveling and entertaining.
