Biography
Kari is the chief development and marketing officer for United Way Suncoast, serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties. She grew up in Ft. Myers and is deeply committed to Florida’s West Coast.
A professional performer from the age of 10, Kari grew up appearing on TV shows filmed in Orlando. After graduating from UF with a BFA in theater, she spent five years in L.A. before returning to Tampa where she held marketing roles at the Tampa Bay Chamber, Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa International Airport, and The Florida Aquarium.
Kari performs and directs with professional theater companies and created a program for USF’s Muma College of Business that fuses the creativity of improvisation with management strategies. She holds an M.A. in communication from USF.
Kari lives in historic Seminole Heights with her groovy husband, righteous kid, and a collection of furry friends.
