Biography
Allison has always known she wanted to be an educator. Her grandmother taught high school English, and she followed in her footsteps. After working as a classroom teacher, she knew she could make a larger impact through educational leadership. After moving to Orlando, Allison continued her leadership journey with administrative roles at South Creek Middle School, Freedom High School, and Lockhart Middle School. Until recently, she was the principal of the historic Jones High School. All schools increased student learning and school culture during her tenure.
Allison earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in secondary English education. Her love for literature and public service led her to a master’s in library and information science.
Allison is a wife to Dan Kirby and mother to Elliana Kirby. With her family’s support, she continues her mission of giving all students the best education possible.
